Solar charge controllers The solar charger collects energy from the solar cells and stores it in the batteries. Using the most modern and fastest technology, SmartSolar is able to maximize this energy accumulation and control it in such a way that the full state of charge is reached in the shortest possible time. SmartSolar keeps the batteries in good condition and extends their life. Even heavily discharged batteries can be recharged with the SmartSolar charge controller. MPPT: Ultra-fast, maximum power point tracking By continuously monitoring the voltage and current output of solar cells (photovoltaic panels), MPPT technology ensures the collection and storage of every drop of available energy in the panels. The advantage of this is most obvious when the sky is partly cloudy and the light intensity changes continuously. Remote monitoring and control The extensive features of the SmartSolar MPPT charger can be controlled and monitored remotely with built-in Bluetooth service by pairing it with your smartphone or other device via VictronConnect. If your equipment is connected to the Internet with a GX device, the Victron Remote Management Portal (VRM) provides anytime, anywhere access to all MPPT capabilities; both VictronConnect and VRM are free to use. In the case of remote equipment, it is possible to monitor the MPPT with a GlobalLink 520 connection even if there is no Internet connection nearby. Power delivered to consumer The intelligent Power delivered to consumer function prevents damage caused by completely discharged batteries. The voltage value at which SmartSolar disconnects from the given consumer can be programmed - and thus prevents the battery from being completely discharged. And here is the clever twist: SmartSolar tries to recharge to 100% every day. If this is not possible in adverse weather conditions, it continues to increase the cut-off voltage value every day until the operation is successful. The function is called BatteryLife, because with this the device maintains the proper condition of the battery and increases its lifespan.
