The GEL (gel) series batteries are used, among other things, to power photovoltaic systems or vehicles where the battery is subjected to shocks and charging from pulse sources such as solar panel controllers. The GEL battery is ideal for cyclic operation, even in deep discharges, due to its gel electrolyte based design. Compared to batteries made with AGM technology, it achieves several times the number of discharge cycles. The design life can reach up to 12 years at 25 °C buffer operation.

Key features:

The GEL (gel) battery is similar in design to the AGM battery, except that in the gel battery the electrolyte is stored in the form of a gel paste. This design makes it more resistant to electrolyte leakage than the AGM battery.
Automatic sealing system. When the pressure inside the battery becomes too high, the valves open, allowing the resulting gas to escape safely to the outside of the enclosure and preventing damage. This happens when the battery is overcharged.
The battery casing is made of ABS material and the cells are made of copper.
