Volt Polska BALANCER PROTECT CHARGER for 48V battery

The AKU PROTECT 48V BALANCER is used for batteries connected in series to maintain the same battery voltage during charging and discharging. It can be used for lead-acid batteries: AGM, gel and LiFePO4.

When batteries are operated in series, the voltage of each battery may vary due to differences in the chemical composition and temperature of each cell. One voltage will be high and the other low. This voltage difference can cause the batteries to become unbalanced, with one battery overcharged and the other undercharged. In addition, the voltage difference will increase during the repeated process of charging and discharging the batteries, which can consequently cause premature damage to the batteries.

The AKU PROTECT BALANCER allows the current to flow from a higher voltage to a lower voltage until a state of equilibrium is reached. The device starts to operate when the difference between the batteries is 10 mV. It can be permanently connected to the battery system so that the energy balance of the system can be automatically regulated without manual adjustment.

The device starts working when the voltage is higher than 2.4 V. This means that it can be used with a single battery from 2.4 V to 12 V. Four batteries can be connected to one stabiliser at the same time. If less than four batteries are connected, the extra cable is free and does not affect the balance.
The operation of the stabiliser is not affected by the way the batteries are connected, either in series or in parallel, either way it works.
