Always select the correct battery type and charging current for the battery's capacity in the inverter settings. Incorrect charging parameters can damage the battery and void the warranty.
Using maintenance-free AGM batteries (e.g., AGM, AGM OPTI, AGM VPRO series) in photovoltaic systems with cyclic charging can lead to faster loss of efficiency/capacity. These batteries are best suited for buffer operation (voltage backup, emergency UPS systems).
As with all battery types, improper charging current settings can lead to damage and loss of warranty coverage.
