The cyrix battery disconnect is a microprocessor-controlled, high-performance relay that automatically connects batteries in parallel when one of them reaches a preset voltage (indicating that the battery is under charge) and disconnects them when the voltage drops below the drop charge voltage (indicating that one or more batteries are discharged). The cyrix battery disconnect is an excellent replacement for diode battery disconnects. Its most important feature is that it has almost no voltage drop, so the output voltage of the alternator or battery charger does not need to be increased.
