WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT AGM BATTERIES?
The name AGM battery comes from the abbreviation "Absorbent Glass Mat". In AGM batteries, the electrolyte is stored in the form of a filter layer of glass wool containing a gel-like material (absorbent glass mat), which gives the battery its extreme stability.

AGM batteries have an impressive capacity, so it is no coincidence that they are widely used in some self-powered systems such as self-propelled wheelchairs and children's electric vehicles. AGM batteries also have the advantage of being more energy-loss tolerant than other classic batteries and can withstand continuous charging and discharging. As the battery casing is sealed, the electrolyte cannot leak out of it if it is turned upside down, but care should be taken that they cannot be stored upside down. AGM batteries require no maintenance, not to mention their excellent performance. They are also fully resistant to vibration.

AGM batteries can be connected in two ways, depending on whether you want to achieve a higher voltage or a higher current. Series batteries have a higher voltage, whereas parallel batteries have a higher current. AGM batteries have a capacity of between 1Ah and 200Ah. It is advisable to use the brand's batteries in vehicles that require higher capacity and voltage, such as yachts, trucks or off-road vehicles. Interestingly, there are AGM cyclic batteries specifically designed for energy storage in solar panel systems.
